If you are about to start with technical blog in the field of Data Science that would give you more than 50K views, then this blog is for you. In this blog I will uncover the strategies I used in my first year of writing technical blogs in Data Science, Machine Learning, DL and AI that got me more than 170K views and more.

Before moving to the main story, I would like to say Huuuuuge Thank You to my readers and to my subscribers who consistently view, read, and promote my content across various platforms. It’s incredible to get “thank you” responds, emails and messages from you, and to get your feedback on my content.

If you want to write a technical blog, it’s important that your content be specific and useful. You also need to make sure that people will actually read it and not just to scroll down. To do this, you’ll need to think about what makes an article interesting — and how best to share it with others who are also interested in the topic at hand. In this article I will tell you about how I wrote blogs that got more than 50K views.

For transparency I will put here the views from some of my Medium blogs.

Factors in common in my most popular blogs

Following 3 blogs are 3 of my most popular blogs that I still this day get emails, LinkedIn thank you messages and get shared on various platforms including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and more:

[Fundamentals Of Statistics For Data Scientists and Data Analysts

What is in common for those 3 blogs are the following:

  • they are explaining specific Data Science topic or fields’ fundamentals
  • they are complete guide to that topic from scratch for people with no knowledge in the field
  • I wrote them with a motive of ‘one-stop-shop’ since I couldn’t find myself everything about this topic in one place.
  • they are result of large amount of research and knowledge learned and gathered for many places
  • after being published they have been viewed consistently and stayed relevant until this day
  • I wrote them with the intention to help others and to give back to teh community

Writing about topic that you actually know something about

Writing about something that you actually know something about, enjoy and are passionate about is key to your success as a blogger. If you’re not writing about something that interests you or makes sense to the reader, it will be difficult for them to stay engaged with your content.

If I had one piece of advice for anyone who wants to start blogging but isn’t sure what kind of content would work best for their audience: Write about something interesting for people like you!

Coming up with an idea for a technical blog post

To come up with an idea for a technical blog post, you first have to decide what you’re passionate about. Then think about what your readers are interested in and write about that topic. Finally, choose a topic that’s relevant to the business or industry you’re working in — this will help keep the post focused and make it more interesting for people who read it (and hopefully convince them to share it!).

Choosing the right time to post

The first thing you need to consider is when and where you want your blog post published. When choosing a time, consider what would be most beneficial for your audience:

  • If it’s during the day or weekend, there will be more people on social media and browsing internet sites. This makes it likely that they’ll see your post right away.
  • If posting at night or on holidays like Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve are popular choices since they’re less crowded than other times of day (and can lead people who aren’t online during those days).

Choosing a blog site

When you’re ready to start writing your first technical blog, there are a few things that you’ll want to consider. First and foremost is choosing a site with a good reputation. If people are already visiting your site frequently, they’ll be more likely to trust what you write about and read it in full (if not immediately). This can lead to better engagement with readers and more traffic for both yourself as well as other writers who publish on the same platform.

Another factor is how easy it is for readers/visitors/etc., so don’t choose one that’s too difficult or confusing! A good way around this issue would be using automation tools like HubSpot’s On-Page SEO options which allow users create content from scratch without having any programming experience whatsoever — a huge benefit when compared against outsourcing these tasks out because most people won’t do them anyway anyway ;)

Use social media to publicize your blog

It’s important to use social media to publicize your blog. Social media is a great way to get exposure, but you should also be aware of the fact that it can be a risky business. If someone posts something negative on their page, it might get shared across multiple platforms and have an effect on your reputation as a writer and blogger.

For instance people visiting my LinkedIn and my Github can also see my blogs and in this way they ca land on by Medium account.

You can use the hashtag #blog and #blogging when posting about your new blog post or even just when sharing general information about it (e.g., “Hey everyone! I’m writing another article about Machine Learning or Data Science!”). This will help people find out what topics are being discussed through social media channels like Twitter or Facebook so they can follow along with everything going on in this space!

Another way we recommend using social media networks is by using hashtags such as: #machinelearning , #ai , etc., which will give readers access not only into our latest blog posts but also into all sorts of other interesting topics related specifically towards AI technology development within Machine Learning & Deep Learning platforms.”

If you want your technical blog to go viral, you need to be strategic in how and when you post.

If you want your technical blog to go viral, you need to be strategic in how and when you post. The best time for a blog post is when the news is hot or trending. You can also use social media sites like Facebook or Twitter as another way of publicizing your content. The key here is timing: don’t just write about something that happened recently; instead, choose a topic that has relevance for now and make sure it’s interesting enough so people will want information on it (but not too much).

If there aren’t any specific topics relevant right now but still want their readership interested in them then go ahead with writing one anyway because once it gets published anywhere online then there are plenty more places where people will find out about this particular piece of content — including other blogs!

I hope this blog post has inspired you to start a blog and take your technical writing skills to the next level. I know how challenging it can be, but if you keep at it and try out some of these methods, I promise that before long you’ll have a successful blog. In fact, if this post has given you any inspiration whatsoever, please go ahead and share it with others who might benefit from knowing about these tips!
